| Well, this RV-12 gets my
most unusual RV paintjob award. It takes a self-confident man to
fly a plane painted like this. Actually, I wasn't surprised to
find out later that a woman pilot owns and flys this plane. |

| EAA recently built
this 1911 Bleriott XL replica. Louis Bleriott was the first man to
fly the English channel in this plane. The latest Sport Aviation has
a nice story on it. Check out that itty-bitty engine! |

One of my favorite things about
AirVenture is that it is not usual to look up in the sky and see sixteen
planes flying overhead in formation. |

was here but no homebuilt Xenos motorgliders this year. Bruce should
have his done for AirVenture 2012 though. |

Yes, it's the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
I didn't think I'd get to see it, but I was loading up the
RV to depart and I saw the Dreamliner fly down the runway at 1000 feet or
so. |
